Obituary for Vincenzo Joseph Constantino
Vincenzo Joseph “Smithy” Constantino, age 24, of Ansonia entered into rest on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Bridgeport on December 21, 1995 son of Michael Anthony Halligan and Charlene J. Constantino and was an Ansonia resident for most of his life.
Vincenzo was a graduate of Ansonia High School. While in high school, he was an exceptional basketball player who received the Student of the Year Award. Vincenzo worked at Curved Glass Distributors. He was an outgoing person who was driven to pursue a music career. He was very generous and was always willing to help anyone in need. Most of all, he was a proud father and cherished spending time with his sons and family.
Vincenzo was the loving father of Vincenzo Joseph Constantino, Jr. and Luka Sebastian Constantino, companion of Karina Mylene Collantes, brother of Angela Kolsin, grandson of James F. Halligan, Sr. and Anna “Sis” Halligan and Joseph "Pepe' and Helena Constantino, uncle of Maria Romero and Elijah Campbell, and cherished step-son of Cheryl Halligan.
A walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. On Saturday, friends are invited to his graveside service at 10 AM at Mt. Meadow Cemetery, 117 Mountain Rd., Seymour. Masks and social distancing of friends and family are required.
