Obituary for Veronica N. Faulkner (Nebesny)
Veronica Nebesny Faulkner, age 93, of Shelton entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Griffin Hospital with her loving daughter by her side.
She was born in Derby on the family farm on June 26, 1927, daughter of the late Michael and Helena Nebesny. Ronnie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence S. Faulkner and her daughter, Dianne F. Balser. She was also predeceased by her brother, John Nebesny and her sister, Helen Parkins. She thoroughly enjoyed her weekly visits with both of them.
Veronica was the beloved mother of Sandra K. Faulkner, loving grandmother of Lauren Balser Paolucci and her husband, Michael of Hamden and Meghan S. Balser of San Diego, CA, loving great grandmother (GG) of Eleanor Veronica Paolucci and beloved mother-in-law of Matthew Balser. She is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.
Ronnie had a strong love for her family and a kind and generous heart. She had many close friends and neighbors and will be missed by all.
On Friday, April 9, a walk through visitation will take place from 10:00 - 10:30 AM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. Following the visitation, friends may go directly to St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Her burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Griffin Hospital Development Fund Hospice.
