Obituary for Sean Patrick Moen
Sean Patrick Moen, age 37, of Seymour, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was born in Rockville Centre, New York on April 26, 1983, and spent his early childhood on Long Island before moving to Shelton, Connecticut.
Sean made a lasting impression as a “gentle giant” on everyone he met through his kind, polite, and giving spirit. He enjoyed traveling, trying new foods, sports, art, and listening to music.
Sean is survived by his mother, Maura (Whelan) Terry, father, Kevin Moen, and Step-Mother, Joanne Moen.
Sean was the older brother of Michael Terry and Joseph Terry, whom he loved with all his heart. Sean is also survived by his beloved Aunt Eileen (Whelan) Mozingo and Uncle Wayne Mozingo, step-brother James Terry, step-sister Crystal (Terry) Russo, Uncle Kenny Moen, Aunt Margaret Ratcliff, Tommy Moen and dear friends; “Aunt Doobie”, Margo and Kevin Rush, Michele and Richard Van Wart, Desiree Mule, Erica Mule, Jonathan Rush, Ryan Van Wart, Mark Carotenuto, Mileena Casiano, Kevin O’Dell, and countless friends, family, and neighbors.
He is greeted in eternity by his dear Grandmother Mary (Bannon) Whelan, “Aunt” Debra Mule, and his dogs Maxaroni and Hans.
A walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through to pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through safely. His private funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 am. Friends can watch a livestream of the funeral service and of the graveside committal prayers.
