Obituary for Paul Jones
Paul Jones, age 79, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Monday, December 21, 2020, at Bridgeport Hospital. Paul was born in Shelton on March 7, 1941, son of the late William E. and Anna (Ritter) Jones, and lived in Seymour.
He served his country with the US Marine Corps and returned to work as an Officer for the Shelton Police Department. He was past commander of the VFW Post 1236 Shelton and the permittee of the Slovak Club in Ansonia. He loved to watch old John Wayne movies, was an avid reader, and a true American patriot.
He is the father of Christopher Jones and his wife Giovanna and Carrie Sollami and her husband Louis. He also leaves four grandchildren, Elizabeth Larkin and Michael Sollami of Ansonia and Gabriella and Brady Jones of Shelton, and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was the youngest of 11 siblings. He is predeceased by William, Anna, Charles, Thomas, Henry, Catherine, Dorothy, George, Robert and Mary.
The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements which will be private.
