Obituary for Nola A. Bain (Bush)

Nola A. Bain, age 83, of Shelton entered into rest on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at her home.

She was the devoted wife of 62 years of the late Alfred Bain. Nola was born in Bridgeport, on December 30, 1937, daughter of the late Eugene and Adeline (Jennings) Bush. She was very proud of her American Indian Heritage and was a member of the Schaghticoke Indian Tribe. Nola loved decorating inside her home and enjoyed working in the yard. She loved making silk flower arrangements and handled the flower arrangements for a few of her family’s weddings. Most of all, her family was her pride and joy and she cherished spending time with them.

Nola was the beloved mother of Reese Bain and his wife Lisa, Robin Boest and her husband Chris and Ryan Bain and his wife Kelly and sister of, Miles Bush, and Sister in-law to Sandra Bush, Aurora Bush and Margaret Galbicsek . She was the loving grandmother of Kristina Bain and her Partner James Olivia, Thomas Boest, Matthew Boest, Michael Boest and Ryan Bain, Jr., great grandmother of Rylee Olivia and Mason Olivia and was also survived by loving niece Ella Smolenski (John), several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers Wayne, Luis "Buddy" and Mark Bush, and her sister Joyce Doming.

A walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through.
