Obituary for Mark A Bush

Mark A. Bush, age 80, of Derby entered into rest on January 12, 2021 in his home with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of 57 years to Sandra Mary Chrzanowski Bush.
He was born in Derby on July 27, 1940 son of the late Eugene and Adeline (Jennings) Bush and was a resident of Derby for most of his life.
Mark was employed at Hewitt Memorial Hospital for many years before his retirement. He was very proud of his American Indian Heritage and was a member of the Schaghticoke Indian Tribe. Mark was well known for his endless sense of humor. He enjoyed designing clocks, stained glass and other personalized woodworking crafts for family and friends. He enjoyed attending the Sunday car shows at Heavenly Donuts in his 1956 Chevy. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, WWE and was a very loyal and devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers.
He is the beloved father of Brian Bush and Monica Smith and her partner Scott Flanigan, proud grandfather of Kristyn, Victoria and Jared. He is also survived by his sister, Nola Bain, brother, Miles Bush, sister-in-law Aurora Bush, loving niece Ella Smolenski (John), brother-in-law Ray Chrzanowski (Darlene), several other nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and friends from the Second Congregational Church and his beloved dog Myles. He was predeceased by two brothers Wayne and Louis "Buddy" Bush, his sister Joyce Doming, and brother-in-law Alfred "Chips" Bain.
A public walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through.
His burial will be private. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), www.aspca.org. Online condolence can be offered at www.riverviewfh.com.
