Marjorie Zavidniak, age 94, of Oxford peacefully entered into rest surrounded by her loving family on Thursday February 11, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Zavidniak. She was born in Derby on September 12, 1926 the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Sheehan) Skurat. Mrs. Zavidniak retired from the Department of Revenue Services in 1992. She thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years spending time gardening, reading and living her best life at her home in Oxford with her husband and family. She is survived by her son James Zavidniak and her daughter Margaret Zavidniak (Joel Harder). She was predeceased by her son Michael Zavidniak. Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm on Wednesday February 17 in St. Margaret Mary’s Church, 50 Donovan Ln. Shelton. Masks and social distancing are required to attend the Mass. Her burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
