Obituary for Marie Louise Jennings (Adanti)

Marie Louise Jennings, age 91, of Shelton, entered into rest, Saturday April 24, 2021 in Shelton Lakes Rehabilitation Center. She was the devoted wife of 72 years to Clifford Jennings. She was born in Derby on July 5, 1929 daughter of the late William Adanti and Nancy (Micci) Adanti DiMauro and was a lifelong Shelton resident.

Marie was quite the character and loved to joke around with her children and grandchildren. Her famous catch phrase when getting a gift was “I like it, but …”. Marie’s other quotes when she would ask her grandchildren “who loves you” to which they would reply “Nonnie Do” and anytime anything ever happens, “See I told you I was sick”.

She is also survived her beloved children, Clifford W. Jennings, Nancy Monson, Susan Battaglino, Robert Jennings, William Jennings, Thomas Jennings, grandchildren Roger, Faithalee, Jason, Lois Emilio, Robert, Demian, Steven, Gregory, Christopher, David, great grandchildren Destiny, Dean, Shy, Trinity, Abagail, Ivy, Cole, Zachary, Alexander, Davina great great grandchildren Madison, Abery, Colton, Sister Margaret Barbaro, Sister in law Linda Adanti and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Michael J. Adanti.
