Marie Filakovsky, age 88, of Shelton entered into rest on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late William J. Filakovsky Sr. Marie was born in Bridgeport on April 17, 1932 , the daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Buccini) Boos and was a lifelong Shelton resident.

She worked in the office at Sikorsky Aircraft prior to her marriage to William. Marie enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing, playing cards and was an avid Scrabble player. Most of all, her passion was her family and she cherished every moment with them.

She was the beloved mother of Richard Filakovsky, Diane (Filakovsky) Eble and her husband Gene, William Filakovsky, Jr. and his wife Mary, and Robert Filakovsky and his wife, Karen. Marie was the sister of Janette Peterson and George and Raymond Boos. Marie was the loving grandmother of Audrey Elizabeth Filakovsky, Jason Richard Filakovsky, Craig Phillip Filakovsky, David Charles Eble, Christine Rose Eble, Angela Marie Filakovsky, Vanessa Frano and her husband Gary, Amanda Filakovsky and her Boyfriend Dennis, Valerie Pennatto and her husband Mike Wendland, Lindsey Filakovsky and her Boyfriend Ronnie, and Victoria Pennatto and her Boyfriend Billy, and great grandmother of Chelsea Lynn Filakovsky, Olivia, Sophia, Anthony Pennatto, Colin Frano, Autumn Pennatto, Jade Frano, Brendon Palmieri, Allorah Pennatto, Harper Frano, Jaylin Ribeiro, Ava Pennatto and Adaline Filakovsky. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by two brothers, George Boos and Raymond Boos.
