Obituary for Lisa B. Benjamin

Lisa Benjamin, age 56, of Milford, entered into rest on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital following a courageous lifelong battle with diabetes. She was the loving wife of Wayne Benjamin, to whom she was married for 27 years. Their marriage was rooted in love and friendship. They were an amazing couple who loved to be together whether it be traveling together to Disney World or having picnic dinners on the beach. Lisa grew up in Beacon Falls.

She graduated from nursing school and worked as a pediatric nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Working and spending time with children was one of life’s greatest joys for Lisa. A few of her favorite activities were reading, catching up with her nephews, girl chats with her mother and sister, and especially her relationship with Jesus. We feel like the world got a little darker without her light.

Besides her husband, Lisa, leaves her parents Robert and Joanne (Kwiatkowski) Winters of Milford, sister Amy Seibert (Joseph), nephews Timothy and Andrew Seibert, her uncles Rev. Robert Kwiatkowski, Aloysius Widziewicz (Kevin Kelton), Fred Smith and aunts Mary Ann Smith and Mary Kwiatkowski, and predeceased uncles William Kwiatkowski and Raymond Widziewicz.

On Friday, friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford. Friends are required to wear masks and social distance. Her burial will be private.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Heart 4 Children, P.O. Box 47, Tomball, TX 77377. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton has been entrusted with her arrangements. Friends may leave condolences at www.riverviewfh.com.
