Obituary for Donald Ingraham

Donald Ingraham, age 75, of Ashland, ME, entered into rest on Monday April 12, 2021 in Northern Lights Hospital with his loving wife of 36 years by his side. He was the beloved husband of Pamela (Hitchcock) Ingraham. He was born in Derby on June 13, 1945 son of the late Frank and Flora (Blake) Ingraham and was a resident of Woodbridge, CT until 2011 when he achieved his dream of living in Ashland, Maine.

Donald’s passion for digging in the dirt and working outside led him to create Great Northern Excavators with his best friend Warren Stowe. He continued on with his second business partner Charles Stowe until Don retired in 2010. He was an avid salt water fisherman and hunter. He was in the National Guard for six years, a member of the Masardis ATV club, and Past president of Ashland ATV club.

He is survived by his loving daughter Annitta Ingraham of Woodbridge, CT, stepson Tony Pelton (Lisa) grandchildren Alexis and Jacob of Saco Maine, one sister Grace Zbell of Great Barrington MA, his former wife Charlotte Clark Turner, life long friend and business partner Charles Stowe (Deirdre), several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He was predeceased by a son Donnie, one brother Paul Walton, two sisters Eva Walton and Arlene Steinmetz.

A walk through visitation will take place on Thursday April 15, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Rd., Shelton. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 am in Milfordside Cemetery, 1138 Racebrook Rd. Woodbridge. A memorial service will be held in Ashland , Maine at a later date.
