Obituary for Christopher Charles McAuliffe

Christopher “Froggy” McAuliffe, age 47, of Shelton, entered into rest on Monday, December 7, 2020, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport after a courageous battle with cancer. Christopher was born in Bridgeport on August 15, 1973, son of Ellen (Ott) McAuliffe and the late Dennis McAuliffe, and was a lifelong resident of Shelton.

He worked as an auto mechanic for People to Places in Bridgeport and as a landscaper for Country Cuts. Froggy enjoyed throwing darts in the Valley Electronic Dart League, horseshoes, and skiing. He was a former Echo Hose and White Hills Fire Fighter.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Jason McAuliffe and his wife Kathy, sister, Dawn Pollak and her husband Jason, nieces and nephews Samantha “Hammy”, Tyler, Kristina, and Jackson, and his canine little buddy Pepper.

The McAuliffe Family would like to thank Bethany and Kris and the staff from Hartford Home Healthcare for their care and compassion to our beloved Chris. The family would also like to thank all of Froggy’s close friends for their love and support that was given to him.

A public walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. His funeral service will be private.
