Obituary for Anne Athans
Anne Athans, age 71, of Shelton entered into rest on Monday, December 14, 2020 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of 38 years to William Athans.
Anne was born in Derby on February 2, 1949 daughter of the late Harry and Anneliese (Meyer) Garritty and was a Shelton resident for most of her life. She enjoyed arts and crafts, flower gardening and was an excellent chef and baker. Anne had a big heart and was known for her problem solving ability and gave great advice.
She was the beloved mother of Brian and Letitia Rich and sister of William Garritty and his wife Geralyn. Anne was the loving grandmother of Jocelyn Rich and aunt of Stacy and Christopher.
Anne’s funeral services will be held privately with her immediate family in attendance. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. Friends may leave condolences at www.riverviewfh.com.
