Obituary for Aldo Addario Sr.
Aldo Addario, Sr. age 87, of Charlestown, RI entered into rest on Saturday December 5, 2020 in South County Hospital. He was the devoted husband of 60 years to Assunta DeCongilio Addario.
Aldo was born in Italy on Feb. 16, 1933 son of the late Riccardo and Alfonsina Grillo Addario. Aldo was a true renaissance man, an active outdoorsman, and member of the Society of American Inventors. Aldo LOVED working with his hands, being out on the ocean, and spending quality time with his family.
He is the beloved father of Elsa, Aldo, Jr, Enzo and Rosalba Addario, loving grandfather of Olivia, Aldo John, Mia and Luca. He is also survived by his brother Giuseppe Addario and his wife Titina, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog baby. He was predeceased by his brother Domenico Addario.
A walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday December 9, 2020 from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 am in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Rd. Shelton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
